Organised by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the 2018 Macao International Parade in celebration of the 19th anniversary of Macao’s Handover to China was successfully held. In order to encourage a more active participation of the public in local cultural events and to provide an exchange platform for photography aficionados, a photography contest for the “2018 Macao International Parade” has been organised by IC and co-organised by the Photographic Society of Macau, inviting residents to share memorable moments captured throughout the Parade.
The entries should have the “2018 Macao International Parade” as theme and featuring, for instance, shots of the diverse performances, the joyous atmosphere, performer close-ups and event highlights of the Parade. The contest is open to all Macao residents aged 12 or above, except to staff from the organising and co-organising entities and official photographers of the event. Participants must submit their photos (up to 5 photos per person) and provide the Chinese and Portuguese name and contact number by email to email@example.com by 30 December 2018. The contest features a Champion Award, a 1st Runner-Up Award, a 2nd Runner-Up Award and 15 Merit Awards. To encourage the greatest number of participants, the Champion and Runner-Up prizes will not be awarded to the same contestant, and each contestant may only receive up to two prizes. Entry specifications and contest regulations are available at the IC Building and at the headquarters of the Photographic Society of Macau, and can also be downloaded from the website of the Parade of Cultural Affairs Bureau (www.icm.gov.mo/macaoparade) and of the Photographic Society of Macau (www.psm.org).
